We are all anxiously awaiting the result of the 2020 American Presidential Election. The impact of who wins is substantial. It affects the whole world.
So, politics is important.
However, watching and read too much about it…can make us unhappy.
This article on The Atlantic about reading political news is worth a read if you feel you’re struggling to get out of a negative place. Personally, I’ve turned off all news notifications on my phone (I did this to protect myself from the onslaught of negative Covid related news) and it’s really helped my headspace. I seek out news when I’m ready to, rather than have it blasted at me.
The article also gives some good tips for how to do something positive, rather than get stuck in the negative.
